Full-Time Independent Author

Hi, and welcome or welcome back to my blog!

2025 was a difficult year for a lot of people and I was no exception. I struggled mentally, physically, and emotionally and in the end, after speaking with my husband and family members I sent my two-weeks resignation to my job. Fortunately, my manager and coworkers understood I needed time.

Time for what?

Time to mourn. Time to recover. Time to breathe.

I needed time for me.

Ever since I was young, I created stories verbally, written, and drawn. It was one of my passions that stuck with me and in the last couple of years, I decided to see where it would take me if I decided to take it seriously, professionaly. And now, I'm seeing where it would take me as a career.

That's right, I've decided while I'm taking time for myself, I want to focus on being an author publishing independently.

This has been my outlook since 2023, but this will be my sole focus in 2026. I'm grateful for my family for not only supporting me in all ways in this endeavor, but believing that I can make this a viable career.

I'm grateful for my support system. Though I believe I would have ended up here on my own, they make my decision easier and less lonely.

As I document my journey as an independent author, I'm figuring out a lot about myself and how I work and I'm excited where I will end up a year from now.
